Dream Come True 2014
Dream Come True 2014
From the first time I first visited the Virgin Islands, I wanted nothing more than to return and be able to visit all the islands by water. Several years ago I began to plan how to make this a reality. By chance, my wife and I were introduced to the one and only Tonic. And through the aid of Selwyn, we were able to make our dream a reality.
From the beginning to the end we were taken care of far better than imagined. I had this complete idea of everything I wanted to do and see from all my research I had completed. For some reason, after meeting Tonic, I figured I would just let the expert do what he does best. This was the best decision I could have made. The adventures I had envisioned were all accomplished plus so much more.
We had 4 couples from throughout the United States and met up in Road Town where Tonic quickly got us on the boat and out on the water sailing. Off to Cooper Island we went. From Cooper to the Bitter End, from the Bitter end to Virgin Gorda and on and on. We were fortunate that Tonic woke up extra early one morning just to get us over to the Baths as one of our friends had planned on dropping to one knee in the clearest waters in the Caribbean and asking his now fiancé for her hand in marriage. It could not have been any better. Tonic then sailed us to Anegada where feasted on the world’s best lobsters and lounged on pristine white beaches. The following day we were back to Jost Van Dyke for a day at Soggy Dollar and Foxys. I might add, it never ceased to amaze me that Tonic always managed to have the best mooring balls, best anchorage spots, ect… It was as if he called ahead. Anyways, the following day we were back on the water and off to Norman Island. We spent the day at the caves and the evening at Willy Ts. Once again, Tonic put us right next to where we wanted to be. The following morning, we went straight to Indian rock to do some amazing snorkeling and then spend the day sailing. Tonic returned my wife and I to Peter Island where we honeymooned years ago. After 6 days the trip was then coming to an end. But definitely not the last one. We are already planning our next.
As I stated earlier, we absolutely could not have found a better captain. No matter where we went, everyone on the islands knew we were Tonic’s crew and treated us as VIPs. Tonic always had an eye out for all 8 on the boat and somehow always knew where everyone was even when we were apart. I could not speak more highly of the man and I can’t wait to return and do it all over again!
